For Job Seekers

Prepare for your overseas career — the safe way.

Preparing for overseas employment involves more than submitting an application. We help you understand the process and improve your readiness before entering formal recruitment channels.

How we help

Support for applicants

Education, preparation, and referral — so every step you take goes through a legitimate channel.

  • CV Review

Applicants receive guidance on improving the structure, presentation, and clarity of their CV so it meets the expectations of international employers and licensed agencies.

  • Career Readiness

We help applicants understand how their qualifications, experience, and skills may fit international employment requirements, and what to improve before applying.

  • Safe Agency Guidance

We guide applicants on how to locate and verify DMW-licensed recruitment agencies, so every application goes through a legitimate, government-approved channel.

  • PEOS Support

We encourage and help applicants complete the mandatory DMW Pre-Employment Orientation Seminar (PEOS), available online at peos.dmw.gov.ph.

  • Job Order Awareness

We educate applicants on checking legitimate and active overseas job orders through official government resources before committing to any offer.

  • Anti-Illegal Recruitment Education

We help applicants recognise common signs of illegal recruitment and encourage them to use only government-approved recruitment channels.

Warning signs of illegal recruitment

  • Asks for placement or processing fees before giving you a legitimate job offer or receipt.
  • Cannot show a valid DMW licence, or the agency name does not match the licence.
  • Promises guaranteed jobs, fast deployment, or unusually high salaries.
  • Tells you to leave the country on a tourist visa and “convert” it to a work visa abroad.
  • Transacts only online, through social media, or outside a registered office.
  • Cannot point to an approved job order for the position offered.

Complete your PEOS

The Pre-Employment Orientation Seminar (PEOS) by the Department of Migrant Workers is mandatory for first-time overseas job applicants. It explains your rights, the legal recruitment process, and how to spot illegal recruiters.
